Welcome to “Spotlight on the Circus” from Encyclopædia Britannica.
Circus Stars is the topic of this year’s national Summer Reading Challenge in UK libraries. In support of this, many of you have asked us to create a Britannica Spotlight on the circus. So here it is!
The Britannica Article covers the history of the circus as well as various circus acts, while the Activity Centre provides a quiz, a word search and some lovely pictures to colour. These should hold children’s interest and keep them entertained – enjoy!
We will be back in September with spotlights covering the Great Fire of London and Ancient Rome. Have a good summer!
